Ticketmaster knew we resold tickets – defendant

In a recent court case, the defendant claimed that Ticketmaster was aware of and even participated in the resale of tickets on their platform. The defendant, a ticket reseller, argued that Ticketmaster turned a blind eye to the practice because it benefitted them financially.

The defendant provided evidence that Ticketmaster had access to data showing which tickets were being resold at a markup on their site. They alleged that Ticketmaster would often increase the prices of tickets themselves after seeing that certain events were in high demand on the secondary market.

While Ticketmaster denied these claims and stated that they have strict policies against ticket scalping and unauthorized resale, the evidence presented by the defendant raised doubts about their practices.

Ultimately, the court ruled in favor of the defendant, citing the evidence presented and the lack of transparency from Ticketmaster regarding their ticket resale policies.
