Mummy, why am I not going to school?

Dear Child,

I know you must be confused and wondering why you’re not going to school like you used to. Please know that it’s because of a situation called a pandemic, where a virus is spreading and it’s not safe for us to be in large groups right now.

We are all doing our best to stay healthy and keep others safe by staying at home and practicing social distancing. It’s important to listen to scientists and doctors so that we can all get through this together.

Remember, this is only temporary and we will go back to school once it’s safe to do so. In the meantime, we can still learn and have fun at home. We can read books, do puzzles, and even have our own little school at home.

Stay strong, be patient, and know that we are all in this together. I love you, and we will get through this challenging time as a family.
