Kidney donor mum and son take on world on skis
A mother and son duo have embarked on an incredible journey to conquer the world’s toughest ski slopes after the mother donated one of her kidneys to save her son’s life.
The pair, Sarah and Ethan Davis, have been skiing together since Ethan was a young boy. When Ethan was diagnosed with kidney failure, Sarah didn’t hesitate to offer her kidney for a transplant. The surgery was successful, and Ethan’s health improved dramatically.
Now, five years later, the Davises are taking on the challenge of skiing in some of the most challenging and remote locations around the world. From the steep slopes of the Swiss Alps to the powdery peaks of Japan, they are showing the world that kidney donation doesn’t have to hold you back.
Speaking about their journey, Sarah said, “We want to show others that life doesn’t have to end after a transplant. With determination and the support of loved ones, anything is possible.”
The Davises have become an inspiration to others facing similar challenges, showing that a transplant can be the beginning of a new chapter rather than the end of a story.
